As I have said before we now have a form of Medicare for all. Just go to any ER and you will be treated whether you can pay for it or not. The number of 34 Trillion shows what some one thinks the cost will be, but lacks the cost reductions that will offset it. ER care is the most costly, and least effective area of our medical system. The ER care section should just about be ended as people are moved into other cheaper sections of the system. We now pay for our entire medical system through Fed., State, Local taxes, Insurance Prems, Indv payments. So in closing we have it now, and are paying for it now.

Once again we have a for of Medicare for all right now. Go to any ER and you will be treated no matter whether you can pay or not. The numbers you see are phony as they do not take in all expenses now related to health care. We pay for health care in a lot of ways which include Fed., State, local taxes not looked on as medical expenses. ER services in many places are part of fire dept. expenses is an example. You can not and will not do much in this area until everyone gets on the same page, and we have saved it from what Trump has done to it in 3 years. Get rid of Trump is the number one item now so people who try and make this number one help Trump since Trump must be the number one item in the next election.

If your goal is the re-election of Comrade Trump, nominate Bernie and watch Trump attack MFA non-stop. This isn't the time to have a national debate on the merits of MFA. This is a time to save our democracy and concentrate all of our resources on taking Trump down.

This country can afford anything it prioritizes.     U.S. still spends more on defense than China, Russia, Saudi Arabia, India, France, the UK and Japan combined.

I read comments that are disturbing because when Bernie sells medicare for all....his believers think it means it's entirely free.    Yes I think it's better than what the under 65 have but there are still co-pays and restrictions.    What do  you-all think who already have medicare ?

Bernie Sanders: The Cost of Medicare for All

Sen. Bernie Sanders Medicare for All” plan, has faced criticism for its staggering price tag. A report produced by the Urban Institute stated his single-payer approach would cost $34 trillion dollars over 10 years, more than the total cost of social security, medicare and medicaid combined.

The 10-year cost of $34 trillion that the study forecasts nearly matches the CBO’s estimate of how much money the federal government will spend over that period not only on all entitlement programs, but also on all federal income support, such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.

The Urban Institute estimates that a single-payer plan would require $32 trillion in new tax revenue over the coming decade. That’s slightly less revenue than its projected cost, because it would generate some offsetting savings by eliminating certain tax benefits the government now provides, such as the exclusion for employer-provided health care.
