I don't think it will take 2+ years to investigate the dirty tricks propogated by the Dumocrats and it could spell jail for some.

patience grasshopper... patience.

Just let the investigation take itself where the facts are. Heard that before. Let's wait and see.

thank you so much for my morning chuckle william. I couldn't agree more!! What a joke!! Lets investigate the investigators!!! Trump knows **bleep** well how the Mueller report got started. It got started when his campaign aides/advisors started "working" with Russia back in 2016. But because Trump is petty and vindictive, he wants to investigate the investigators. Never mind he was "completely exonerated", according to him, in said report. What a joke.......I am sure this news put a smile on his handler, Putin today.

The dimms are in deep trouble...@jim91........................In more ways than one can imagine. I can't believe they are so foolish they keep digging for something that is going to destroy the party, but maybe that's what is needed. It is so fragmented now anyway.

Attorney General Bill Barr has appointed U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut John Durham to investigate the origins of the Russia probe and whether law enforcement's methods of collecting intelligence on the Trump campaign were legal, the New York Times first reported and the AP confirmed.

Why it matters: Barr had previously signaled that he wanted to review the FBI's surveillance of the Trump campaign, telling senators in a hearing last month that "spying did occur" — though he clarified that he did not mean to suggest that it was necessarily illegal. Durham has previously served as a special prosecutor investigating allegations of impropriety by intelligence officials, "including the F.B.I.’s ties to a crime boss in Boston and accusations of C.I.A. abuses of detainees," according to the Times.

The big picture: This is at least the third investigation into the origins of the Russia probe. The FBI's inspector general Michael Horowitz is currently investigating the government's use of wiretaps through the FISA process, while U.S. Attorney for Utah John Huber is also looking into claims of FBI misconduct.

  • Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham has also signaled his intention to "investigate the investigators," which has become a rallying cry for many Trump allies who believe the president was unfairly targeted.

Not true. The JD IG has been doing this and is close to issuing a report. There are other US Attorneys doing this also. One in Utah is an example. What we are now seeing is the Dictator take another step in the take over of the Justice system in the US. He has taken over the law enforcement system, and is reinforcing that by now attacking his head of the FBI for not bowing to what the Dictator said. He took over the Armed Forces when Mad Dog left, and made back room deals for the SC. The country is in deep  trouble as the Dictator has taken over the needed parts to keep his move to take it all going. He has made the entire Congress useless and you see him defy laws any time he wants now. Sunday there was a program on TV (AHC) showing how the Nazi tried to control the US in the 1930. They showed a rally in NYC which was the same as a Trump Campaign rally. In the 1930 effort the Nazi were made up of far right just as the Trump group today. Some wore uniforms like brown shirts, and white sheets, and we see the same thing today. There was a middle group of enablers using the papers, radio, and other means of talking to each other of that day. We see the same thing today only the middle group uses new means such as the inter net. Sadly we are edging closer to full Dictatorship each day. Will we even have an election next year. Not if Trump and his buddies can help it.

LOOK OVER HERE - ANOTHER SHINY OBJECT - WAIT IT'S YOUR OWN REFLECTION IN THE MIRROR

Actually The Truth is Barr Appointed a US Attorney to Investigate the Investigators who are already investigating the FBI Investigators ...........who haven't even finished their own Investigation or written a Report - thats good Management Huh? - thats Good use of the Tax Payers $$

The DOJ IG is already Investigating the Handling of the Counter-intelligence Investigation that was Started to Investigate the Russians Involvement in the 2016 Election

Trump nor the Trump Campaign was the Predicate for the Original Investigation

It wasn't until Trump Associates Kept Turning up Talking to the Russians that were Hacking our Election did the Files start building on Trump & Associates

BTW - You do know the Russians attacked the USA - attacked our Democracy - attacked our Election - Multiple Russians are charged with Attacking the USA in the Mueller Indictments

How come Trump talks to Putin for hours on the Phone and never brings up the issue

Trust me - it's not the Dimms who are Worried - No Democrats Names Are On Any Court Indictments regarding the Criminal Activities of Trump & Co. - Notice the Filing Date - the Judge is Ruling Tomorrow

FACT - Durham Never investigated - THE FBI'S - ties to a Crime Boss in Boston - He investigated 2 Agents - the FBI was using Whitey Bulger as a CI - Confidential Informant - the FBI'S handler of Bulger was a Agent named John Connolly - John Connolly grew up in the same South Boston Neighborhood as Bulger - Connolly saved Bulger from Beatings when they were kids - they had a Connection and Bulger exploited it - Connollys Boss John Morris Admitted Taking 2 cases of Wine & 7k from Bulger - but it was Morris that started the entire Investigation into himself and Connolly when he told his Story to the Globe or Herald can't remember which - Morris was given Immunity to turn Government Witness - was never charged - never convicted - Connolly was the Real Bad Guy

NO OTHER FBI AGENTS WERE IMPLICATED - CHARGED OR CONVICTED - CONNOLLY WAS A ROGUE AGENT - A SINGULAR BAD ACTOR

It would be more appropriate if barr would appoint someone to investigate himself. Political shills and trump boy toys are not acceptable. Nor does he have honor. Perhaps barr should resign!
