Re: Anti-gay Kentucky judge must hear LGBTQ cases

All the guy tried to do was recuse himself - not stop the adoption. Yet, the LGBTQUE community revealed itself - their interest wasn't in the adoption. It was in attacking anyone thinking differently from themselves and getting headlines.

Nance cited a judicial ethics rule that says a judge must disqualify himself when he has a personal bias or prejudice.

He admitted his bias and tried to let the people not be adversely effected. But that wasn't enough for the activists.

The ruling also emphasized that people whose religious doctrines forbid condoning same-sex marriage must be given “proper protection as they seek to teach the principles that are so fulfilling and so central to their lives and faiths.”

Hey KY, want federal $$$$, then you must follow the Supreme Court legal rulings.

That protection only extends to teaching in a religious instruction context - not to secular context of court of law.

That "protection" most emphatically does NOT extend to judges whose sworn oaths do not permit them to pick and choose and avoid cases and situations that their bias and prejudice would cause them to decide in a Constitutionally incorrect manner.

If he cannot do his job correctly, he should resign and find a more appropriate profession.

Homophobic judge won’t be able to avoid gay adoption cases / LGBTQ Nation

He could resign rather than obey the mandate of the US Constitution...
