Suggest you should go back and study your American History.  Apparently you are unaware that the driving force towards our country was that of the wealthy landowners and merchants.  It was a fragile existence on the part of the average American.

Then along came the railroads and the 'robber barons' who controlled the economy, much as the corporations do today.  A person couldn't go from one job in progressing to a better life, but held a job at the pleasure of the company.  If they became disabled and unable to work, they were thrown out of their company homes and left with nothing.

Isn't this way off the original discussion?

Yep - another post with content that's way off topic...

BTW - out in the wild west - there were numerous instances in which wealthy land owners and merchants got "dry gulched" for their dishonest practices...

In his first few months in office, Trump rescinded an Executive Order by Obama that stopped the mentally ill from obtaining weapons of mass murder.  McConnell sits on a Gun Control Bill since February.  Trump and McConnell are partly responsible for weapons getting into the wrong hands and it results in these mass murders. McConnell - - - the Grim Reaper for sure.

From 1776 until 1980, We the People had build an amazing society where each generation would do better than their parents. Then we allowed the ones at the top to keep all the profits for themselves, and now our children have little or no hope of getting as far as we did.

The same Party that legislated the huge redistribution of wealth from the middle to the very top in 1981-88 legislated the financial disaster that drove over 8 MILLION American families from their homes, and their only comment on this social engineering masterpeice was "perhaps those people were not ready to own their own homes and will have to be satisfied to rent" - a rough quote of Mittens Romney on the plight of those dispossed by GOP policies.

The same Party legislated to insure the availability of military grade weaponry for those who suffered the job and home losses that Party's wealth redistribution made inevidable.

Don't like being the only country not at war that has its citizens murdered by the dozens on a regualr basis? Stop voting for the Republicans that make that happen so their owners can get even richer while you and your kids drift down into poverty.

Well sa

Well said, Scout.  More Americans are killed each year by other Americans with guns than in many wars.  It's insane.

Once again - if only Reagan had not allowed people to keep more of their money this nut job would not have killed anyone. Talk about narrow vision!!

And, as always, the solution - a one Party government. Yep, that usually works out well.

It is impossible to get into a rational discussion with you if every topic goes down to your your (sic) nonsense of Germany, Hitler, Nazis, fascists etc.

That's your usual cop-out response when you have nothing constructive to add. YOU claimed there were no similarities between Hitler and trump.  You were given several, so you whine and complain about terms used.  What a joke!

Another case of being unable to make the point rationally so talk about Hitler. Such shallowness is really not funny.

WRONG AGAIN! I didn't bring up Hitler, I responded to your post where YOU posted, "It would be more adult to explain your position rather than just say it is over my head. For example, "The far right in the US has Trump, and in Germany it had Hitler" - I see no connection between the President, Hitler and white males or AR15s." Another case of being unable to respond reasonably, or rationally, to false statements you make.

Once again, I see no connection between the President, Hitler, and white males or AR15s. Whether you bring it up or defend it.

And remember most would stil lbe alive if the NRAGOP had not made sure their murderer had the military firepower to blow open the locked door to their school.

Republicans value money over people. If you're a person, you cannot rationally support a party that puts you SECOND, and promotes the slaughter of your children in their classrooms and on our streets, and if they survive, sends them overseas to be slaughtered FOR NOTHING in the name of higher profits for the Death Merchants.

VOTE OUT THE NRAGOP

THEN

VOTE OUT SEMI-AUTOMATIC WEAPONS THAT CAN FIRE MORE THAN 8 TIMES WITHOUT RELOADING.

Yep, there is the answer to school safety - a one Party government and destroy the Constitution.
