Women from across our nation gathering to peacefully protest is nothing that can be compared to defeated state politicians passing legislation to limit the power of incoming elected officials of the opposite political party.

I hope you understand that it was just the opening salvo - protesting his actions even before his inauguration. The "Resistance" has many more aspects to it.

But ..... glad you could get to use your "pussyhat" slogan, no matter how erroneously.

I have fulfilled my mission in life - to make you happy.

Writing that should embarrass anyone with even a little more self awareness than a fruit fly. Or maybe you only like "resistance" when the GOP does it?

Lol

The GOP's no-compromise pledge

If Republicans take the House as anticipated on election night, voters can expect to hear the customary talk about coming together with Democrats for the good of the country.

President Barack Obama inevitably will extend a hand across the aisle as well.

But that’s Tuesday. Right now, the tone is a lot different — with Republicans pledging to embrace an agenda for the next two years that sounds a lot like their agenda for the past two: Block Obama at all costs.

And even Obama’s pre-election appeals to cooperation are wrapped in an I’m-still-the-president tone that suggests that Americans will be looking at two opposing camps glaring at each other across the barricades — gridlock all around.

Here’s John Boehner, the likely speaker if Republicans take the House, offering his plans for Obama’s agenda: “We're going to do everything — and I mean everything we can do — to kill it, stop it, slow it down, whatever we can.”

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell summed up his plan to National Journal: “The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president.”

Changing laws to reduce power of an opponent is so lame compared to legal protests.  It would be just an LMAO moment if it was so pathetic!

This is typical fascist cult speak.....

The repubs have lost touch with reality and our nation. Have they become so bizarre that they have lost touch with the values of our country and the values of our citizens?

Do repubs really support what is happening in Wisconsin, Michigan, and N.C.? If so, they deserve no respect!

Those actions are not supportive of our country or are patriotic actions.

Who are the real Americans, and who are the real Patriots?

Never Forget

This is not "Pig Like" behavior - IT IS POLITICAL BEHAVIOR and is practiced by both parties whenever they can.

Read your support article. What they passed were things like the ACA and other programs to help people. They did nothing like was done in Wisc. to basically kill most of the power the new incoming Gov. had. This type of activity started in NC a few years ago when the Reb. did the same thing. It is their new game plan. When they loose an election pass laws so they will not loose power. Mich. has had the same thing this year. The far right a work destroying the country. In one of the 2 states there was a voter question on the ballot to make changes increasing wages, tip wage treatment, time off. The Reb. controlled legislature then passed a law putting what was on the ballot into law. That allowed them to change the law after the election to roll back what was on the ballot and they did that. The far right either steal elections like in GA, or by hiring people to collect mail in votes like in NC (They did that in Reb. primary and general vote in Nov.). It is not political behavior, it is standard far right behavior (Dictatorship) and must be stopped by all thinking people if this country is to survive.

How so? Passing normal legislation during a lame duck session is NOT equivalent to passing legislation designed to cripple and strip power from the party that won an election before they can take office. That should be obvious.

Sure should be, Panjan.  But this is the new GOP....looks like feigning intellect is their new calling-card.

BULL MANURE!!!  Taking away powers the party's have BOTH had just as you get bootted out of office is scum-like and is nothing like passing bills that have been discussed and debated for years, like the ACA, Don't Ask Don't Tell, First Responders Bill....The GOP is a pitiful lot and is why they don't attract many new voters....
