In Trump World, the GOP continues to abandon it's long held core philosophies, such as reducing the deficit.

Hear hear as usual!!!! George Nethercutt former 5th Congressional Rep. who was replaced by Cathy McMorris Rogers many years ago wrote a column in my weekly paper here a few weeks ago. Very relevant.

Despite their rhetoric, Republicans have become big spenders, says George Nethercutt

trump has amplified the well known fact that repubs are only concerned about debt and deficits when Dems are in power...not concerned when they are in control.

Also proves that trump and repubs do not care about the common Citizens of our Country...I hope that our Citizens will wake up before the next election!

PROBLEM SOLVED re---NATION's   DEFICIT   ! !

Mitch McConnell Calls for Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid Cuts....... After Passing Tax Cuts and  , Massive Defense Spending

Three out of every four voters there supported Donald Trump for president in 2016, and 31 percent of households received food stamps. If Republicans succeed in their multi-front campaign to cut back on food stamps, the burden will fall heaviest on the working-class, rural white voters on whom President Trump has staked the future of their party.

Those who voted for their republican govenors,   legislators and Trump ought to be happy the deficit will be solved and ready for new tax relief for the  rich and the corporations who can continue to make obscene profits.

The new tentative budget deal ends any pretense that the Republican Party cares about fiscal responisiblity.

The day the Tea Party Died

In a terrific piece for the National Review, Brian Riedl writes of Monday's deal:

"This represents a fitting conclusion of the Budget Control Act, the crown jewel of the 2011 'tea-party Congress.' The decade-long shredding of these hard-fought budget constraints mirrors the shredding of Republican credibility on fiscal responsibility."

Correct. The deal, which still needs to be approved by both House of Congress and then signed into law by President Donald Trump (so, you just never know!), is a sort of final death throe of a movement that has been limping along, mortally wounded but still, somehow, breathing, ever since Trump emerged on the political scene.

Unlike many of his rivals for the 2016 presidential nomination, Jeb Bush, Ted Cruz , Trump never expressed any real concern about the rising deficits (and debt) in the country, nor did he seem terribly concerned about its potential impacts on the economy either now or in the future.
