Ya know what is really pathetic? He probably doesn't have a clue what's in it. It got out before the first hundred days, they had a party, photo op., pride massaged---he's good to go.

You have become so deeply buried in the left wing "dependent on the government for all needs" mindset that you truly do not understand the thinking of those who voted for President Trump.

He does in fact "have a clue" - a clue as what people who are proud to stand on their own two feet feel see as the role of government.

It was the neoMarxists who voted for taking money from others to pay for their needs, not the Trump voters - we are more independent. We understand what happens when the population falls totally under the control of "Big Brother" whether via guns or food.

BTW - "Rj--Gosh, we like you!!" - is that the "Imperial We" or do you speak for the Klatch?

Oh the poor insurance syatem. those poor people, those victims of a socialist society. those corporations that have never taken advantage of any of their clients.  Yes, they are the ones that are called  theBREEDBRIGRADE and really deserve that name.
I guess that you have forgotten how they treated Americans, not paying for claims that they didn't feel that they should. not providing insurance to people with preconditions. yes, upping their premiums to high sky prices.
Yes, arguing every penny that they need to pay out.  those poor poor victims of this society. And for those you want us to shed tears?

You totally missed my point regarding Medicaid (intentionally?). If the intention of Obamacare was to help the poor, why not improve an existing program designed to help the poor (Medicaid)?

There was no need to take over the entire health insurance business.

Congrats scout, you got a new one "GreedBrigade".

Who has tried to deny anyone health care??

You want programs for the poor - go for it. We have Medicaid. If it has problems, fix them. There is no need to take over the entire insurance system bought and paid for by the productive.

A working class 64 year old pays $1700 premium under Obamacare and $16,100 premium under ahca, after subsidies applied. See page 41 of CBO just released.

Crit-- you are absolutely right about preventative care. Seems when one uses logic, rationale, and common sense,  the answers are always easier than lies, conspiracy theories,  and diversion.

Affordable Care Act

What changed with Obamacare is the fact that millions of hard working Americans who couldn't qualify for and/or couldn't afford decent health insurance, can now get it. 100% of that insurance is provided by private companies via the free market.

Not the free market - a highly regulated market.

Yes it is the Free Market. Companies decide if they want to compete on the Exchanges and they set their own prices for their policies. That is the free market in action.

As for being regulated, I'm LOL. What do you think happened before Obamacare? That's right, the states carefully regulated health insurance. All health insurance policies are regulated by either the State or Federal Government.

The other major change coming from Obamacare was making Preventive Care free to the patient.

But not "free" so someone had to pay for it.

Of course someone has to pay for it, which is the insurance company, but they love the idea. Why? Because the insurance companies know paying for preventive care is the most cost effective option for holding down expenses in the long run. This way, they catch problems early so the treatment is relatively inexpensive versus the huge cost of a problem that has progressed to the point where it's very serious.

And let's not forget those with pre-existing conditions can no longer be denied health insurance.

Richva--Preventative care vastly cuts down on health care costs later on. To exclude it is another way to create a problem that will end up costing more on down the road.

Donald supporters aren't really as stupid as they sound here....are they?

The millions that are receiving the benefits of Healthcare Insurance and then Healthcare are because States agreed to expand Medicaid so that Healthcare Insurance was affordable.     The States, such as TX, refused and therefore the number of people who benefited from ACA was smaller than many smaller states, such as KY, et.

So those who did not qualify are predominantly from RED STATES that refused to expand Medicaid.

Now they are saying that Healthcare Insurance companies should be allowed to write any kind of crap policy that doesn't really offer much in the way of assistance to people who want Healthcare Insurance...they will sell something that doesn't actually help the average consumer.    And that is their version of 'free market'.    Crap is good!

Preventive Health care isn't really free - from the perspective of Healthcare Insurance companies that can't drop a person, it really is a huge benefit to the company as it is much cheaper to provide immediate care to a scrape / wound / broken limb that to wait until the patient has a life threatening sequale of waiting until the last minute.      It is less expensive to perform an appendectomy BEFORE it ruptures, because the hospitalization is greatly reduced, the amount of antibiotic is greatly reduced, the quantity of nursing care is greatly reduced, etc etc.

So, are they really as stupid as their remarks indicate?    HMMMMMM.

PRO-LIFE is Affordable Healthcare for ALL .

Medicaid has been offering health care to the poor for decades. Obamacare expanded the program and made it easier for states to implement the new expansion. But Medicaid was not a creation of Obamacare.

And had he just expanded medicaid as needed I would not have objected. But he rolled it all up into one big package.

Saying that our health care system should be free market assumes that all consumers and producers have "perfect knowledge" of price, quality, etc.  We are long past the point of the average consumer being able to judge what is appropriate in a free market health care system. That is why health care needs to become part of "the commons" that is distributed to the population.
