They'll have to wait behind all the prosecutors in line to indict Trump on his numerous Federal and State crimes.

@rker321

That would be great, but how do we coax out repubs who are hiding behind rocks, in closets, and afraid to speak out...red meat, candy, or money?

Perhaps we need to keep hammering on trump, with the truth of his incompetent, fascist actions, until it's apparent that their support of him is no longer beneficial, if they wish to get re-elected.

I do not respect the trump repubs, but it might help to remove trump from office.

Agreed, @Olderscout66 . But my greatest fear is that while Trump is sinking our Democracy at every turn (and increasing the coffers of his business), our enemies around the world (Russia and China chief among them) are watching our chaos and while we, Americans, war and wrangle within our borders,  they may be readying themselves to move against us--our nation as a whole.  Russia has already begun by having interfered in our elections.

Moreover, let us not forget, in the '80s the Germany of old fell with the fall of the wall.  And in the '90s, what was then called the U.S.S.R. collapsed and later reemerged as Russia.  Could the United States of America be the next major nation to fall under the weight of of it's own tyranny whose name is Donald J. Trump?

Now we have both Admiral McRaven and General Mattis responding to the actions of our President. It's going to be very hard for Trump loyalists to smear those two men, but I'm sure they'll try, just as they do with anyone who dares to criticize their Supreme Leader in the White House.

It is quite clear that Trump will not go gently into the night. he will go kicking and screaming. out. but I will say this over and over again, We need more voices not from Democrats but from Independents and Republicans, we need their voices. Trump has been voicing lies with impunity, and perhaps if more Republicans speak out, and stand up to him his followers will begin to think and understand.

Idk, but it certainly appears that is what the "agenda" is about no?

"Civil War 2" trends on Twitter after Trump quotes speculation that impeachment would spark "civil war"

Donald Trump said in a tweet that if he is removed from office, a "civil war" might erupt in the United States. The president was quoting Pastor Robert Jeffress, a Fox News contributor and host, who suggested that impeaching the president would lead to "civil war."

"If the Democrats are successful in removing the President from office (which they will never be), it will cause a Civil War like fracture in this Nation from which our Country will never heal," Mr. Trump tweeted, attributing the quote to Jeffress.

Jeffress did more or less say that on "Fox & Friends" — with Mr. Trump adding his thoughts in the parenthesis of the tweet, saying he will never be removed from office. The president's repetition of the quote received widespread backlash — including from his own party.

"I have visited nations ravaged by civil war," Republican Rep. Adam Kinzinger tweeted. "@realDonaldTrump I have never imagined such a quote to be repeated by a President. This is beyond repugnant." Kinzinger is a veteran and serves on the House Foreign Affairs Committee. He often criticizes the president on Twitter, although he is one of the only Republicans to publicly criticize the Mr. Trump's call with the Ukraine leader.

Democratic Representative Ted Leiu supported his colleague across the aisle, tweeting: "I agree with Republican Representative Adam Kinzinger that @realDonaldTrump's tweet about a civil war over impeachment is beyond repugnant."

Mr. Trump's civil war tweet went viral, and by Monday #CivilWar2 was trending on Twitter, as was #CivilWarSignup.

While some made fun of the potential of another civil war, many Twitter users pointed out that inciting civil war could encourage violence.

Oath Keepers Militia, which is identified by the Southern Poverty Law Center as "one of the largest radical antigovernment groups in the U.S. today," embraced Mr. Trump's civil war suggestion. "This is the truth. This is where we are. We ARE on the verge of a HOT civil war," the group wrote.

"Like in 1859. That's where we are. And the Right has ZERO trust or respect for anything the left is doing. We see THEM as illegitimate too," continued the tweet, which appeared to be signed by Oath Keepers leader Stewart Rhodes.

As of Monday, over 90% of the 235 Democrats in the House of Representatives either support impeachment proceedings against President Trump or have signaled they are open to supporting them.

The formal impeachment inquiry was announced by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi soon after the president admitted he had asked the Ukrainian president to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden and his son. Pelosi said Mr. Trump's actions represent a betrayal of his oath of office, of national security and of the integrity of U.S. elections.

Admiral McRaven: Our Republic is Under Attack from the President.

Message 10 of 10

This is not a house Democrat speaking, so listen carefully. Admiral McRaven,  the arcitect of the Bin Laden Raid, said in a NY Times Op Ed, "Our Republic Is Under Attack From the President."

Admiral McRaven, accused Trump of not understanding the importance of America's role in the world. "And if this president doesn’t understand the importance, if this president doesn’t demonstrate the leadership that America needs, both domestically and abroad, then it is time for a new person in the Oval Office. Republican, Democrat or Independent. the sooner, the better.

The fate of our Republic depends upon it," he wrote, arguing U.S. allies will lose trust in the United States if promises are not kept.

It's time for Jim, and all the other Trump loyalists, to start a smear campaign against the Admiral because he criticized their hero in the White House. They do this to everyone who dares to challenge their Supreme Leader.
