More important than Simon Bolivar is our children should at least learn the history of the USA that they live in (or came to live in).  So many kids never learn the history of America anymore...even in high school....or even really know what our heroes/vets have died for.

I am glad to see a post that have made my point and my thread so credible.. A post that states that there is no need to teach our children about how this continent came about to be. I guess they should only learn that this country started with the Mayflower.

This post is the best example of the arrogance and ethnocentricity that the world have always seen.
So very sorry for you, the capacity of learning or wanting to learn obviously is not there. Yes, this country forever unless many like the poster change their views on people yes, this country will always see in colors and there will always be racists that will see people different an in many cases not equal.
I thank the poster for making my thread valid for making history valid, and to point out what we have all seen and now are being able to deal with  which is extensive racism.

You have that exactly correct rker321 - and IMHO - @cm9889168 is unfortunately incorrect - but hey - what can be expected of followers and supporters of tRump - Putin's treasonous liar?

My Navajo/Ute wife has the skin color that was uniquely "American" for well over ten thousand years before Europeans arrived.

I'm white (I wasn't allowed to choose, but if given the choice, might have chosen to be a member of a different ethnic group ) -  all of our children - both biological and adopted are mixed race.

Are they Americans?  Citizens?   Yep sure are.

Remember @cm9889168  - no matter what you say or do - whites will no longer be the majority in the US by 2050 - then we will all be minorities - and white male conservatives will have become objects of mockery and derision.

If there is any justice in the world, tRump's headstone will have "traitor" engraved at the top...

So you are going to teach your children that our president supports a russian dictator and plays up to and supports other dictators. And does not support his own Country. If you are a patriot, how will you pull that off!

First I'll bring you the up-to-date news - NO Russia - NO Collusion - end of that story; but stay tuned now that the FBI's 302s have been released and the Socialist Liberal's favorite sweetheart will be at the center of the real collusion.

As far as supporting other dictators, that is the other sweetheart of the Socialist Liberal party who was constanly bowing down and apologizing to other foreign leaders.

instead of supporting our country.

I would follow up and concur with Alfred and to add that I think your posts are very sincere. Provide answers...not yet. I am still of the mind to ask, where is the primer or guide which says, here is how all the different groups of people wish to be referred to as. Until then, there are certainly words to be avoided, and I will try my best to be courteous and respectful. Racism is real, racism is here, so let’s don’t try to ignore it, but instead understand and defeat it...that may take awhile...especially since we have a president who is a racist and promotes racism.

My thread was not created to call Americans racists. I do not believe to be that. I simply pointed out as to the reasons that I believe that Americans have the racial problems that we see today.
I truly believe that is in the DNA of this country to see people in colors. in the same manner that I also recognize that is in the DNA of Latin Americans countries to be corrupt as we all have seen throughout the history of this continent.None of us are  perfect. and we all have a lot to learn.
The school system is where it should start, by understanding that there should be tought in our schols the formation and colonization of this continent and not simply realize that European history is the only one that children should learn. We live in this continent and not in Europe. or in any other continent. This is this is where we all live. and our history needs to be known as a whole and not just in part. Ask any American who is Simon Bolivar and I can guarantee you that probably none know who this man was.  and that is a shame. (By the way he is not Cuban LOL) Ny the eay, they want to be seen and calle Equals.

I'm not going to get into this continuation of race labeling.  I believe that when it stops and no one ever thinks about it (it doesn't even enter their minds when interacting with people) and can see people as people things will change for the better.  It won't ever stop as long as there are the kind of racist low-fo ignorant bigoted white trash that believe and support tRump - and teach their children by example to be racist white trash.

I don't know anyone who teaches their children that, but your words of "racist low-fo ignorant bigoted white trash" leads me to think one should be looking into their own teachings and party to be spewing such vile unmitigated hatred just because someone doesn't agree with another's 'opinion'.  "You're entitled to your own opinion but not your own facts."

A perfect example why Trump will win in 2020. Democrats have lost their foundation. Remeber one thing. A playing card is huge till you turn that same card 90 degrees.
************************************************************************************************************

Trump could win in 2020.    If people do not vote for the party-line and vote instead for the B.S. talk and often lies.....we have the kind of country we have  when today  the top 1 percent of households own more wealth than the bottom 90 percent combined.     Yes the democratic party took the HOUSE but we need the SENATE cause they are run by a bunch of criminals, inhuman beasts whose answers to disasters is "thoughts and prayers" like the hypocrits they are.

Predictions are coming forth that the electoral college remains the same as when Hillary won the popular vote for by 3 million and the fraudulent Electoral College voted for Trump.    Faithless electors” are free to cast their votes for whoever they please, regardless of who won the popular vote in their state.    . You are obviously of not being able to read anything that I have written. Democrats or Republicans are   not  racists. is all  Americans , that I have been speaking about.  Americans see people in colors. they can't help themselves.
and now the Republicans are being led by a  man that is really making all of his supporters racists.
In the way they speak and the way they act. I can just see your post on this message board as to what you understand about the immigration law that are presently in this country.

Sorry, but for your information everyone in this board knows that i am a registered 50 years Republican and hoping to see the Republican Party return to the dignity  is has had always. and not the piece of excrement that it has become.

Yep - you got it.

We are all racially biased in some respect and to some degree.

Those who claim they do not see colors?
