You are 100% right.  That is what 'Black' people like to be called...or "people of color" but the Liberals and Omar sort of tried to include themselves in that one (thinking it would help their cause) but they are NOT 'people of color'.  Calling Black people 'African Americans' is over, they do not like to be called that any longer.

Better back the truck up.  You are contradicting yourself again.  Earlier you wrote...

Your truck just got a flat.  Are the Socialist Liberals the only ones entitled to give opposing views here?  The heading was "Americ sees in colors". I still can't understand why 'color' was brought up again unless the Socialist Liberals just like talking about it.  Can't they get past this?

You are the one who started this post off by mentioning colors of different ethnicities, so it seems you are a big part of it.  Why even point it out?  Only those who dwell on it would keep bringing color up.  Next time "refer to people as people."

You always say you're not liberal or republican, so do you just post here to be contentious?  Because it all sounds like what a Liberal supporter would post.

Your conflicting replies risk sounding ... contentious.

BTW, you better clue in your president that "calling Black people 'African Americans' is over, they do not like to be called that any longer" since apparently he didn't get the memo and continues to use the term 'African Americans'..

I suggest you look up the meaning of 'contentious' since I was responding to someone's post which you left off (by mistake I hope).  As far as our President, I was speaking from my own knowledge and those I know.  I've never heard Pres Trump call them by ethnicity anyway, but maybe you can tell our President since you worry about his every word/move....I don't.

The luxury of being a Liberal is you can hear the unspoken--quote the unwritten--then base belief & commentary on events which never occurred

Wrong. people of color like to be called Americans.

That's a given (Conservatives know) but you brought up labeling people by colors.

@rker321

My comment was not meant to speak of the white race, other than to denote damage which they have done on race issues.

I will call, respectfully for each race, whatever they would like to be called.

How do you propose to differentiate people when issues may affect different races in different ways? It’s not meant out of disrespect, but as a way to describe what is taking place, and strive towards racial equality.

On what basis are you stating that African American citizens would rather be called Black? Haven’t heard anything like that from African American leaders.

And yes, it would be great to refer to all as people, but different races are discriminated against in different ways...

how would you propose to describe these forms of racism against different races?

Racism is not dead. Consider that white caucasians are the primary racists in the US.

Ok let me examine what you say. for example. in this continent.
Cuba, there is no such thing as African Cubans or black cubans or anyone is referred by their color
Mexico. Mexicans is the name for all Mexicans disregarding or race.
Puerto Ricans. same. they are called Puerto Ricans and by no other name
Brazil. Brazeleans.  again and there are mix races in Brazil but they are all called Brazeleans.
Honduras. Same
Panama Same
Costa Rica  same.
Chile,  same
Peru  Same
Bolivia  Same
You can go to any Latin American country in this continent and no one is called by their race NOt even in Canada. that I know of. Unless that perhaps that you think that the US has a franchise on the white race and everyone else is not white or Caucasian?

Not unique to America. Every nation whites have colonized sees color. It was and is used as a power structure to keep whites in power.

Colorism spans the globe. Just look how popular skin bleaching creams are in so many former colonial territories.  Or how Latinos with lighter skin make $5,000 more than Latinos with darker skin, on average. It’s everywhere whites have divided and conquered.

Could you please clarify something for me.
You state Latinos with light skin and Latinos with dark skin.  Ok. Latinos, If I understand correctly are people from latin America and form European descent or citizens from  Spain and Portugal that are Caucasian by racial extraction, therefore they would have light skin. and there are Latinos. that are of mixed race like of Indian extraction, or blacks, and the mixture of those races with Caucasians that came from Europe. Please advice if I have that incorrect?

You may very well be the exception to the rule that Democrats foster racism.  I know that there are exceptions to every rule.  Blacks are doing better under Trump (having more opportunities, making more money, and having better jobs) than any other (R or D) President, yet you have the average Democrat pointing fingers at Trump and accusing him (every move) of being racist.

Most people pointing fingers at others and calling them racist are racist themselves!

Oh dear  I guess that you haven't noticed that you in your post have made my point. so the "blaks" are now better with Trump?  LOL  LOL  LOL  LOL  LOL

Do you have a better way of describing who I'm talking about.  If so, please inform me.

It is ridiculous and foolish to now  refuse to see what this country has done for decades and generations.

YOu all have always called people white, black, brown, red and yellow depending of their racial extraction.
And that has been done by Democrat and Republicans and everyone alike.
So don't tell me that I am a racist. it is you that have always seen people in colors. and not I.

You forgot ORANGE, that is racist too
