My kids weren’t taught that. They are 23 down to 12 yo.  But that’s a function of different states having different curricula. And throw in the private schools. They can teach pretty much whatever they want..

  No really the historically RW SBOE has finally had a "come to Jesus" moment and has also decided that they can't just lie and get away with it...after all some of the RW kids go out of state and are laughed at for their ignorance about history of the USA.

 

    Additionally, the SBOE decided to reinstate accurate information about Hilary Clinton and Helen Keller.  If the history books in TX have to discuss Helen Keller, then they can't put the genie back in the bottle and ignore Hitler / Nazi / WWII.      All good news for future Texas students..
