The distrust of the Federal Government is a way of life down TEXAS way. The TEXAS executive and legislative branches of government are always challenging the Law of The Land. TEXAS Senators and Congress Members vote against aid to other states. The TEXAS Governor calls up the National Guard to "check" on the activities of THE UNITED STATES ARMY when a training exercise was held in the area.

If they want to be so independent 99% of the time, especially when other parts of the country are in need of their assistance... then maybe Bill Maher is right....... they should stay independent when they, themselves, are in need of assistance.

We learned as kids about the beginnings of the Republic of Texas ( ROT ) and all about ( maybe lol ) its fight for independence. In reality, it couldnt break free from Mexico until the good ol USA stepped in to save them. Use the "people ask" section of this link.

Its quite obvious they only want to be US citizens when its convienent for them.

So it begins.
