@Cirice

Amazing how soon some forget, or now try to cover up.

We all want to have our favorites picked.

And please keep bringing up the Garland nomination. This was totally outside the norms and fairness of considering a candidate...and perhaps legality.

mcconnell and trump have a directive for repubs in our current system...

cheat and lie if you need to in order to win! That is not who we are as a country.

How would that be possible with absolute certainty?

It would not. If we cannot be certain, we should move on to another candidate for the court.

Then another vague, unprovable claim could be made - and on and on until the Dems get a nominee they want. Is that really the process you'd like to see for our nation.

I really would like to see the process for our nation include the Cons being fair.   Unfortunately, that's very unlikely, as Cons only like to see the process go their way -- like when they flat-out refused to hold a vote for Obama's nominee, Merrick Garland, for a record 293 days.

Assume nothing. Question everything. And start thinking.

Investigating nominees for SCOTUS is most assurtidly an FBI function, as is investigating witness intimidation, so lil donny is stonewalling because...what? Kavanaugh admitted he did that rape thingie back in the day when it was okay, the day Republicans want to bring back for all American Women and cannot do that if the FBI confirms the good Professor's testimony.

@e661467w

Calling your bluff. Where are the missing papers concerning kavanaugh in the white house while serving W? And W is supporting kava. While a former W lawyer and associate of kava is overseeing those documents...fox in the chicken coop? And how could you possibly know if those papers are not important? Quality over quantity is the order of this hearing and of concern.

What is being hidden?

As usual, rk is right on the mark. Events in a federal workplace is of concern to the FBI - HS parties, nope.

Rest easy, the guy will get confirmed. All the old gizzards in the Senate will see to it.

How can any agency investigate anything that has no formal complaint?

They can’t!

As of now there is no complaint to work with.  Just a letter to Diane Finestein that she will not share with anyone.

That is a good point. The story changes from day to day and we still do not know what is in the letter that supposedly started all this.

How would you know she has no evidence?  You don't.  The FBI would certainly, if allowed to do so, examine her evidence.  They did for Anita Hill.  Something terrible is wrong with dt that he is so afraid of law enforcement.  He only has to make one phone call.  If Dr. Ford is not being truthful, you would think dt would want than known.

Hill claimed sexual harassment in a federal workplace - within the authority of the FBI. But a HS party????
