Of course some are. Don't you read what you post?

People ARE noticing Republcians support and operate in tandem with all those groups and are trying to alert the rest of the population to the clear and present danger this poses for our Nation.

...and thereby calling Republicans (or "Republcians" if you prefer) "all those groups".

What would you like to hear from those called "RW" here. That they do not agree with such people? O.K. I do not agree with such people. But, since you guys (generic) have already labeled me a Nazi, fascist, White Supremacist, racist, sexist, homophobe, etc. etc. simply because I agree with President Trump's handling of the economy and international interactions - so the "crickets" may be from an attitude of "Why bother?".

Wonder if Cadet Bonespurs is in touch with this 5th Column cancer in our Military? Rotting the strength of our Armed Forces from the inside would be another high priority on the ToDo list donny got from Putin.

All should read the support article. There is a report on a survey taken in 2017 of Armed Forces members. 25% said they came across white nationalists in the ranks. There was further details on that survey on TV this evening. Trump knows this. He gave the warning last week about violence if he is defeated, and Cohen warned us about that. Using the military is one thing he will try just as all Dictators do. It looks like there could be a base for that to happen. We do not know if any senior or midlevel leaders are part of that group, but Trump knows. Look at what has happened in other countries. The sooner the Trump mess is solved the better for all so vote him out in 2020. Tonight there were reports from people saying we can not wait till 2020, and these were members of the Reb. Party till Trump came to power.

It's eighteen months to the election, the fastest way to get Trump out of office is to vote him out, then if he refuses to leave drag him out, with meat hooks if necessary.

All efforts should be to defeat Trump and the Republican Party, who have circled wagons around Trump to protect him, in the 2020 election.

However that is not enough, Republcans at the state level must be voted out as well, those state legislators that atttacked democracy with voter ID laws,  poll restrictions, and gerrymandering must be voted out of power.

We need a national solution to gerrymandering and the effect of money in politics.

Democrats Say Their First Bill Will Focus On Strengthening Democracy At Home

Democrats will take control of the U.S. House in January with big items topping their legislative to-do list: Remove obstacles to voting, close loopholes in government ethics law and reduce the influence of political money.

Party leaders say the first legislative vote in the House will come on H.R. 1, a magnum opus of provisions that Democrats believe will strengthen U.S. democratic institutions and traditions.

"It's three very basic things that I think the public wants to see," said Rep. John Sarbanes (D-Md.), who spearheads campaign finance and government ethics efforts for the House Democratic Caucus. He said H.R. 1 will "demonstrate that we hear that message loud and clear."

But even Sarbanes admits the quick vote is just a first step. Republicans, who control the Senate, are unlikely to pass the bill and President Trump is unlikely to sign it.

"Give us the gavel in the Senate in 2020 and we'll pass it in the Senate," Sarbanes said. "Give us a pen in the Oval Office and we'll sign those kinds of reforms into law."

The bill would establish automatic voter registration and reinvigorate the Voting Rights Act, crippled by a Supreme Court decision in 2013. It would take away redistricting power from state legislatures and give it to independent commissions.

Other provisions would overturn the Supreme Court's Citizens United ruling, which declared political spending is First Amendment free speech; they would mandate more disclosure of outside money and establish a public financing match for small contributions.

Ethics language in the bill would strike closer to current controversies. When President Trump took office, he said — accurately — that the ban on conflicts of interest doesn't cover presidents. The bill would close that loophole, while expanding the anti-bribery law and requiring presidential candidates to make their tax returns public.

Much of what's proposed in the Sarbanes bill is controversial. "A lot of it looks to be unconstitutional," said David Keating, president of the Institute for Free Speech, a group that's opposed to many campaign finance regulations. "They say they want to amend the First Amendment," he said, referring to the language repealing Citizens United. "What gives government the right to regulate speech about the president and Congress?"

Democrats reject that analysis. "The path back to having the public trust government and politics is a long one, but we have to start someplace," Sarbanes said.

New conflicts will emerge to fuel the reform debate, as House Democrats ready their long-promised investigations of the President Trump and his administration. Multiple congressional committees are all expected to dissect Trump's domestic and overseas businesses, his campaign's contacts with Russian businessmen, spending by foreign officials at his Washington hotel, the ethics problems of cabinet officials and an assortment of other issues.

Trump critics suggest the probes could damage his presidency, with Trump and his defenders moving quickly to cast the oversight as a witch hunt.

At a post-election press conference Wednesday, Trump said that if House Democrats start issuing subpoenas, he said he would task Senate Republicans to reply back with subpoenas of Democrats, "and it'll probably be very good for me politically."

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, speaking with reporters, was dismissive of the Democratic strategy. He called it "presidential harassment," and said Republicans tried it in 1998, when they impeached President Bill Clinton.

"His numbers went up and ours went down," McConnell said. "And we under-performed in the next election. So the Democrats in the House will have to decide just how much presidential harassment they think is a good strategy."

Good question. Will we get an honest assessment from the military, because we know darn well that we won’t get honesty from the WH.

And remember that trump said that the military was behind him if things got tough and he needed to use them. So the real question, is the military really behind trump, and would they let themselves be used as puppets by trump in an illegal or unconstitutional manner?... we certainly hope not!

7 U.S. Military Members Identified As Part Of White Nationalist Group

7 U.S. Military Members Identified As Part Of White Nationalist Group

Leaked chat logs revealed military servicemen with ties to the extremist group Identity Evropa.

Leaked chat logs have connected seven current members of the U.S. armed forces to a white nationalist group, according to a HuffPost investigation.

Two Marines, two Army ROTC cadets, an Army physician, a member of the Texas National Guard and one member of the Air Force all belong to an organization called Identity Evropa, which is listed by the Anti-Defamation League and the Southern Poverty Law Center as an extremist group.

For years, Identity Evropa members have used a server on Discord, a group chat app popular among the alt-right, to send messages to one another. Last week the independent media collective Unicorn Riot published the contents of that Discord server in its entirety.

A largely anonymous network of anti-fascist activists reviewed the Discord logs, using biographical details mentioned by Identity Evropa members, most of whom posted under pseudonyms, to uncover their offline identities.

Building off that research, HuffPost verified the identities of seven men currently serving in the military. Their messages on the Discord server indicate that they hold deeply racist and anti-Semitic views and participate in Identity Evropa propaganda campaigns, posting stickers and flyers in cities and on college campuses.

The Marine Corps, the Army, the Air Force and the Texas National Guard confirmed to HuffPost that the identified men were active members in those services. After HuffPost’s inquiries, the military is investigating some of the men’s possible ties to Identity Evropa; some servicemen were already under investigation as a result of previous tips. The military is determining whether they violated rules regarding discrimination and extremist activity.

News of Identity Evropa’s presence in the military comes at a time of heightened awareness of white nationalist violence. On Friday, a white nationalist gunman opened fire on two mosques in New Zealand, killing at least 49 worshipers. Asked Friday if he sees a rise in white nationalism around the world, President Donald Trump responded, “I don’t really. I think it’s a small group of people that have very, very serious problems, I guess.”

There is growing concern about white nationalists connected to the U.S. armed forces, of which Trump is commander-in-chief.

In February, federal authorities arrested Coast Guard Lt. Christopher Hasson, a white nationalist who prosecutors allege was stockpiling weapons to massacre leftists and reporters in a violent plot to establish a “white homeland.”

Last year, a series of investigative reports by ProPublica and “Frontline” found multiple members of violent neo-Nazi groups among the ranks of the military.

And a 2017 poll conducted by the Military Times found that nearly 25 percent of service members surveyed said they encountered white nationalists within their ranks. That poll found that 30 percent of troops said they saw white nationalism as a bigger threat to national security than the wars in Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq.

Kathleen Belew, the author of Bring the War Home: The White Power Movement and Paramilitary America, told HuffPost that white nationalists in our armed forces pose a clear danger.

Veterans and active-duty personnel, she said, have “played an instrumental role in moving weapons, training and tactics from military to civilian spaces” and “dramatically escalated the impact of white power violence on civilian populations.”

Daryle Jenkins, the founder of the anti-racist group One People’s Project and an Air Force veteran, expressed concern over the safety of nonwhite and non-Christian members of the services who have to work alongside white nationalists in uniform who could “undermine and threaten their fellow soldier,” he said.
