Hilariously, he is now saying that he is going to roll out his last revision of his non-healthcare plan before the 2020 election.     ICYMI:   the sort of 'insurance" that donald is selling is much like the one in Tampa Bay:

Two Tampa companies accused of selling 'virtually worthless' health insurance plans to hundreds of thousands of consumers nationwide

A federal class action complaint says the Tampa companies targeted a 'vulnerable' group of Americans.

Of course they do because it's estimated around 1/3 of Americans, possibly more, have pre-existing conditions.

There is also HR 987 - Strengthening Health Care and Lowering Prescription Drug Costs Act

The bill amends the PPACA. It was passed by the House on May 16, but not taken up by McConnell and the Senate, and most likely will not be since it involves the ACA. R's cannot accept that a majority of people like their Obamacare, and would like to see it improved and not destroyed.

Of course! They are just like Trump, they only care about themselves. That's why they support a pathological liar and crime boss in the White House. As despicable as Trump is, they are getting some things in return such as Supreme Court justices, etc. As long as they get what they want, that's all that matters to them, so they support him.

I have no idea as to why you all don't rejoice at this news.

I would shout it  at the top of the biggest building. and hopefully that it would happen.

I know, this would harm a lot of people but, you need to break that base, and the only way that we are going to do so. is to make them suffer and have to deal with their own stupidity.
So why does anyone want to tell Trump and the Trump followers how to do the right thing is beyond my comprehension.

mickstuder:

Pew Research Center found that even 63% of Republicans support that provision.

Hmmm.............that means that 37% of Republicans do NOT support it, which corresponds closely with the % in the hardcore base. That means they either don't get what preexisting conditions are, or they do but will only care about them when they're gone and it affects them personally.

This is a reoccurring phenomenon

The Trump Cult repeatedly & consistently supports Trump Policies that are totally against their own Best Interests

Tariffs - Tax Break - Immigration - Eliminating Consumer Protection Bureau - Eliminating Pre-existing protections - etc etc

Thats why they are a Cult - like the Jim Jones Cult they would probably Poison their own Children if Trump told them too

Michael Cohen and Paul Manafort are sitting in jail - because they got involved with Trump

Michael Flynn and Rick Gates drank the Trump Koolaid and will soon be in jail

George Papadopolous has already been in Jail - Trump Koolaid Drinker

Maria Butina sitting in jail because she got involved in Trumps NRA/Russia Money Laundering

The Beat Goes On

Everything Trump Touches Dies - Except Trump and his Family because they always use Cutouts like the Clowns above

Here are a few facts about PREX that you found in health insurance policies until the ACA.

1. To not have a prex in health policies you need everyone to have coverage so rates developed are good.

2. When you do not have everyone with health coverage you have a big problem with people not  buying or getting coverage until they find out they need it. Then the Insurance co. is buying a claim. The Dr. tells them you have a heart problem is an example. The young usually do not buy while the older do buy so you get a higher risk group. You can end up with all the people covered have a lot of medical problems and that is then reflected in the Premium you pay. What you pay can get so high you can not afford it, or it is cheaper to pay your own medical bills. In group insurance (employer provided) there can be a clause that says a certain % of the Group must take the coverage for the policy to take effect. You have an enrollment period usually once a year to sign up or drop out (new employees usually have to sign up when they are hired.)

3. When health insurance first started people purchased it for themselves and family. All had to take a medical exam by the Insurance Co. to see if they would accept the people. When that changed the pre ex really replaced that.

4. Keep in mind in Insurance the person is betting they will use the coverage, the Insurance Co is betting they will not. Rates are developed from a medical data base which is based on an entire population, then broken by age, sex, and a lot of other information in it. If people can buy coverage when they find out they are sick rates are way to low. Every Insurance Co will have the same base loss ratio based on the entire pool.

5. The ACA made everyone have medical coverage so you did not have people getting coverage after they found out they were sick and going to use it. That is why no pre ex was needed. Trump has  been destroying the ACA by rule changes for the last 2 years, and shortly people under 65 are going to find big changes in health insurance as it goes back to where it used to be. If this law would pass with out making all people have health Insurance you are all going to be very surprised and upset with what happens.

Republicans in Washington could care less what the majority of Americans support or what the majority of the Republican electorate supports. Washington Republicans have abandoned the majority of their electorate to appease it's minority base and the wealthiest in America.
