If the D's cave, I'm going to be one angry D. And I won't be the only one, either. Just say NO.

The Senate voted NOT to give in to Trump and use the Nuclear Option. Trump wanted just a simple majority to pass the Budget Bill.

Does that mean they're going to force some Democrats to vote for Trump's Wall.

I'll guess Bill Nelson (FL)  votes "Yes", even though he doesn't have to, since he's leaving Congress in a few days after losing in November. We'll see...

Also, a lot of the Senate had already left DC for the holidays. They left think that they had a done deal. McConnell put out a call for them to get back and vote.  Might be interesting to see who gets back and who doesn't. For some, it could be a challenge if they have to fly in from some places.

But I get upset when Democrats switch to other side which affects the outcome. Often these members of Congress are referred to as Blue Dogs. Republicans do the same. They are the ones I remember on election day.

Interesting. I always like to see the votes.

In this case, it only needed a simple majority. Both parties voted straight party line. So, those non-voters wouldn't have changed the outcome.

No they wouldn't have changed the Results in this case - but their Job is to VOTE

If Voting on Important Major Legislation is a - only if and when it's Convienient Scenario - we all lose

The Significant Issue Is - None of these People Knew B4 The Vote Whether their Vote would have mattered - that's the Point!
