Coffee !
I've been all over these forums & can't find the 'right forum', so mybe i'll find an answer on the front porch ?
I have 2 cans of 'cheapie' coffee ; tried mixing them so they would be more flavorful, but not-so-much did it work. Might buy a more spendy brand & mix them, but in meantime, anyone have any ideas on how to make these cheap brands taste better ?
Thanks !

Well, I tried making it. I couldn't get the coffee part to whip up as nicely as what everyone shows on videos. It was OK. I used Mount Hagen organic fairtrade instant coffee, which I had bought in the early stages of pandemic prep. I love iced coffee and was worried about losing power. Instant coffee holds me over then. But definitely not as good as fresh brewed.
I only used half the sugar because I don't like sweetened coffee. It was interesting to try and not horrible. lol. But I will stick with my usual fresh brewed.

The joy of Offgrid camping, hiking, RV'ing have 2-3 percolators for stoves, 1 French Press, A Bialetti/Moka stovetop expresso maker, an electric perk, Mr Coffee, and electric expresso maker and 12-volt 4-cup drip in garage.
I admit to a caffeine problem/solution to keep me rosy in disposition.
And an airpot to keep my coffee hot. Cold Press is very nice,
The person who made the whipped coffee used copper pan to achieve peaks with her whip but, seemed to have arms like a stevedore.Least that's how my memories are playing out.
Happiness comes from black rifles coffee and kona🤣.

Oh, that is awesome. I might look into some of that. I do have a Bialetti, but that's all. The cold press looks interesting!

I cast the blame of addiction to working for 10 years for a coffee roaster.
Everything from Civet to Honduran beans I've drunk or experienced 🤣.
But, if did move me to try different types of coffee.

Hi, coffee folks. I'm new here. Love coffee.
I have just heard of this Dalgona coffee trend. Has anyone made it? I actually do have instant coffee because I had been pandemic planning back in January. So I might try it...

I checked one of the videos online and reminds me of something I had during a layover in Asia, didn't work for waking me up.
Without the buzz or wakey wakey high it's just not the same for me.
Might try again if I ever buy instant again. Still working on my pandemic 4 lbs of Arabica, 3 lbs of DUnkin and 2 lbs of Bustelo and Pilon.
My cold coffee happiness is coming from MIssissippi Mud cakes.
Haven't been shopping in awhile, since February maybe, went from Isolation, to Quarantine to lockdown until May. Need my coffee fix!

A crew member aboard the U.S. Navy hospital ship USNS Comfort has tested positive for novel coronavirus and is currently in isolation aboard the ship that is currently docked in New York City, according to a U.S. Navy statement.
The news comes on the same day that the hospital ship was designated to begin treating COVID-19 patients in New York City, a reversal from the earlier policy that it could only treat patients not infected with the coronavirus.
"There is no impact to Comfort’s mission, and this will not affect the ability for Comfort to receive patients," according to the Navy statement. "The ship is following protocols and taking every precaution to ensure the health and safety of all crewmembers and patients on board."
Tune into ABC at 1 p.m. ET and ABC News Live at 4 p.m. ET every weekday for special coverage of the novel coronavirus with the full ABC News team, including the latest news, context and analysis.
"The crew member had no contact with patients," the statement said.
Because the crew member did not come into contact with patients, it is highly likely that the crew member was asyptomatic when the Comfort left its homeport of Norfolk, Virginia, on March 28.
Update
The U.S. Navy confirmed Thursday that 416 crew members onboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt, a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier docked in Guam, have now tested positive for the coronavirus. The number of confirmed cases jumped by 130 people in one day with more than 1,000 tests still pending.
Some crew members of a coronavirus-stricken American aircraft carrier have been moved to hotels in the U.S. territory of Guam, where they will be quarantined for 14 days, a military official said Friday.
At least 114 of the roughly 5,000 sailors on the USS Theodore Roosevelt have tested positive for Covid-19, the respiratory disease caused by the new coronavirus. The warship has been docked at a Guam port for more than a week, and about a third of its crew has been tested for the virus.
Earlier this week, the ship’s captain sent Navy leaders a memorandum asking for permission to quarantine the bulk of the crew off the ship. He was relieved of his duties on Thursday, after the document was leaked to a newspaper.
