Coffee !

I've been all over these forums & can't find the 'right forum', so mybe i'll find an answer on the front porch ? 

I have 2 cans of 'cheapie' coffee ; tried mixing them so they would be more flavorful, but not-so-much did it work. Might buy a more spendy brand & mix them, but in meantime, anyone have any ideas on how to make these cheap brands taste better ?

A familiar face looks out onto West Rock Avenue. He’s relaxed, legs folded atop each other as if he’s got nothing but time. Two mittens peek out, thick enough to shield him from the bitter cold. From just above a blue face mask, peach-colored skin and two tufts of bright white hair complete the look.

Bernie Sanders has officially arrived in New Haven.

Westville snow sculptor David Sepulveda has returned with a ten-foot homage to U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, whose wooly mittens and cold-weather casual attire went viral after the Inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris in January. Sepulveda started the sculpture in his front yard Tuesday morning. He expects to be finished by Wednesday night.

“It was a matter of me not being able to deny the perfect conditions any longer,” he said after a full day of snow sculpting on Tuesday. “The snow was very textured, and very pliable. I always like to choose a theme or subject that is pretty positive, and the Bernie meme was circulating all over the place. It really felt like something that was lighthearted and fun.”

For the artist, a 36-year veteran of the Stamford Public Schools, the sculpture has been a long time coming. During his childhood in the city’s Rockview and Brookside public housing projects, Sepulveda loved “the big snows” that are now part of New Haven history. When he began working as a visual arts teacher in Stamford, he learned to cherish the occasional snow day. It was, perhaps, only a matter of time before chilly creations started showing up in front of his home, where he and his wife have lived for 33 years.

The CBS Sunday Morning News will again starts the day! Our breakfast with coffee and an order in breakfast of omelets with french toast are a great way to start our Sunday morning. We had a couple of inches of fresh snow last night.

To be absolutely honest It  was brisk last night and first time I got up -14* didn’t happen for 3:00am. Flipped over and slept in til It hit -5*.👍

Had to wait for the warm up to happen.  Been sleeping with window open awhile, mummy sleeping bag works in unheated bedroom.

No colds, flu or Plague (Covid). Now, I’m feeling 🍀 lucky time to bring in firewood and out rubbish, never mix those two up.

I am very thankful that we had a peaceful inauguration day. I hope that there is a relatively smooth and positive transition to a solving the pandemic and a positive upward reduction of unemployment by way of a bipartisan effort.  May we drastically reduce the number of children and their families that go to bed hungry daily. My we see a reduction in evictions until there is a major reduction in unemployment. 

May we see our new Commander-in-chief and our Vice President lead us in a positive direction that includes all of our fellow Americans!

Honestly, I don’t know if I got measurable snow last night, still trying to convince myself to go out to woodpile, it’s 11* with a slight breeze and cloudy.

Few flurries coming for today and tonight in Maine mountains.

Saturday and Sunday’s last boy, did we get snow around 18-24”.

Just another day in Paradise😷.

GREEN BAY – The Packers advanced to their second straight NFC Championship Game with a 32-18 victory on Saturday over the Rams in the divisional round at Lambeau Field.

The Packers led by seven in the fourth quarter when QB Aaron Rodgers found WR Allen Lazard, who had dropped a potentially big play earlier in the second half, for a 58-yard touchdown to give Green Bay a two-score lead again.

The defense then responded with two sacks on a Rams series near midfield to get the ball back and keep the Packers in command.

The Packers are back in the NFC title game and will face the winner of Sunday's Buccaneers-Saints game. Next week's game will be at 2:05 p.m. CT at Lambeau Field.

Lazard finished with four catches for 96 yards and the TD, while WR Davante Adams had nine catches for 66 yards and a score.

Rodgers finished 23-of-36 for 296 yards with two TDs and no interceptions for a 108.1 passer rating.

The Packers' ground game was productive all game, with RB Aaron Jones getting 99 yards and a TD on 14 carries. RB Jamaal Williams added 65 yards on 12 attempts.

For the Rams, QB Jared Goff was 21-of-27 for 174 yards and a TD for a 105.9 rating. RB Cam Akers had 18 rushes for 90 yards and a TD, while no one for LA had more than 65 receiving yards.
