Coffee !

I've been all over these forums & can't find the 'right forum', so mybe i'll find an answer on the front porch ? 

I have 2 cans of 'cheapie' coffee ; tried mixing them so they would be more flavorful, but not-so-much did it work. Might buy a more spendy brand & mix them, but in meantime, anyone have any ideas on how to make these cheap brands taste better ?

After trying several brands of coffee, my wife and I kept returning to Folger's, both for price and for flavor. Some coffees cost more and some cost less, but Folger's medium Classic Roast has consistently provided the flavor we like and a 5-cup pot of coffee costs us about 30 cents or less per day, depending on where I bought the coffee and whether or not it was on sale.

Once in a while, I buy a 3-pound bag of Colombian whole bean coffee from Costco and grind that myself occasionally for freshly ground coffee when I feel like having it. That one is a splurge, since it costs about 60 cents per 5-cup pot.

My wife likes to go to Beans and Brews once or twice a week, but I'm content with getting my 20-ounce regular coffee from my own kitchen.

For daily coffee, my wife and I use a Mr. Coffee 5-cup on/off drip coffee maker. Those are about $20. We could spend another $10 and get one with timers, but what good are those when we do it all in the morning, anyway, and don't know when we'll get up?

For family parties, which might be rare for a while, we get out the big guns: A 12-cup Mr. Coffee.

Mr. Coffee has been good for us for years. We have seen no good reason to switch to anybody else.

I'm in trouble. 

I have (had) two coffee brewers.   I broke one a week or so ago, and now my backup is about to die. 

Please recommend your coffee brewer of choice.  I'm used to drip coffee, but I will try anything.  🙂

The basic Mr Coffee is what we use. Have been using them for about 30 years.  They last about 7 years.

Several years ago, my wife and I visited the gardens at Keukenhof.  It was totally mind blowing!!
