Thanks Shelby, I will have to consider this.  I am really thinking too far in advance, but I need to get away from here for at least a week somewhere.  If I can get myself to Florida, that would really be a good thing for me, if....I can see both of my boys. The weather here is cloudy but in the 60's...hard to believe, but hope it stays that temperature...tired of winter!

The movie...In the Bedroom deals with a couple who's 18-year old son is having a relationship with a older woman (Marisa Tomei) with disasterous results.  I really like Sissy Spacek and Tom Wilkerson, and they really performed well in this one.  Do you watch any Lifetime TV movies? Garlon hates it, so I record what I want, and watch later, but some of those movies with the younger actors are just sorry!

I am wanting to see "The Atonement" as well. The new movies coming out this year, seem a little better, than in the past.

Enjoy your Sunday and going to be on "the movie watch" for some good ones!

Love, Fran

"No Country For Old Men" is about a cold blooded killer, and it's extremely bloody!   I did my best to forget that movie, no matter how lauded it was.  http://movies.nytimes.com/2007/11/09/movies/09coun.html

I just saw magnificence on TV, and it was a JAMES STEWART Movie, called NO HIGHWAY IN THE SKY.  I think it was filmed in England, because most of the cast was British, and James Stewart played the part of a preoccupied, eccentric Scientist, who was absorbed with  his calculations.

He predicted that the tail of the plane would fall off of this Reindeer Plane at a predicted time and found himself on one of those planes.  It also starred GLYNIS JOHN, MARLENE DIETRICH and JACK HAWKINS. . JAMES STEWART'S acting was a mind blower and he was a pleasure to watch!    Shelby

You are right about women's empowerment.  The movies do show where they overcome some really bad situations, and turn their lives around.  I like the Lifetime movies where a woman gets out of prison, and works her way back into society. I cannot imagine how hard that is to do.  The actresses playing characters playing roles dealing with aversity really do a great job.

Shelby did you see the movie with Reba McIntyre, and Tim Matheson whose marriage got into real trouble, after she woke up from a 20-year coma? Her daughter had grown up, and her husband was involved with her best friend.  I cannot remember the names except the word "Heart" is in it.  I will try to find it.

I have to go for now, take care, and I will think of more really good movies to share, when my brain reactivates!  LOL!

Thanks, Shelby,  I won't go see that movie, but we love James Stewart, and I will order that one to watch!  Why does the movie industry have to keep making blood and guts movies! Doesn't Hollywood realize that these type of movies have impacted some of the younger generation into thinking violence is the way to go? There sure are some really sick screenwriters out there, for sure.

Oops, I am getting my gander up, so I am getting off that subject.  I gotta go, Garlon is needing my upmost attention...LOL!

Hi Fran,

I agree, Agree, Agree!!!   Interestingly how much Violence is there against women on the LIFETIME MOVIE NETWORK.  You don't see blood and guts, but there is rape, abuse, stalking and murder all the time, and we watch as if we were hypnotized.

What I do like is, that they also show how woman overcome such brutality, and so they also stress "Women's Empowerment"!   Shelby
