Some of the movies he directed were:

"The Americanization of Emily" '64 starring James Garner and Julie Andrews

Kenny Baker who played the small robot R2-D2 in the "Star War' movies from 1997-2005 has died,he was 81. He had been having health problems for a couple of yrs.

The wonderful,character actor,David Huddleston died on Tues in Santa Fe, New Mexico of heart&lung disease,he was 86

His best known film role was "Jefferey Lebowski",a unhappy wheelchaired millionaire in the Coen brothers movie"The Big Lebowski" '88 costarring with Jeff Bridges,John Goodman,Julieanne Moore.

His other movie roles: "Olsen Johnson" in Mel brooks very funny movie"Blazing Saddles" '74,"Judge' in "The Producers" '05.

He played "Benjamin Franklin' in '97 Broadway production of '1776'

He had reoccuring role as the grandfather in TV show "The Wonder Years" 88-'93,was nominated for Emmy in 1990 for this role. Sue

Actress, Gloria DeHaven who starred in MGM musicals in the 40's and 50's died Sat age 91.

A couple of the movies she  co starred in are: "Two Girls and a Sailor" '44 with Van Johnson&June Allyson, "Yes, Sir That's My Baby" '49 with Donald O'Connor. "Summer Stock' '50 with Judy Garland and Gene  Kelly.

@doglover52 - Gee, when did Garry Marshall get to be 81?! I figured he was in his late 60s/early 70s! Actually, 81 is relatively young these days, unless someone has a chronic condition.
