re: Favorite quotes
Admittedly, this is more "cult classic" than classic, but it's from the painfully awkward scene in "Say Anything" where Lloyd Dobler has to meet the parents of the girl he's dating. The father asks him what he wants to do with his life, to which he replies:
"I don't want to sell anything, buy anything, or process anything as a career. I don't want to sell anything bought or processed, or buy anything sold or processed, or process anything sold, bought, or processed, or repair anything sold, bought, or processed. You know, as a career, I don't want to do that."
If anyone has ever dated a dreamer, this might hit home for you.
Amy,
I've probably seen "Say Anything" dozens of times and, you're right, that line is one that struck me, too.
I just saw, "The Odd Couple" again the other night and had to laugh at many, many lines. There's one where Oscar and Felix are fighting about Felix's cleaning habits. Oscar is yelling at Felix for leaving little notes all around the apartment. "Pick up a of gallon milk - F.U." "Don't forget the dry cleaning - F.U." "Pick up your socks - F.U." Oscar says, "It took me three days to figure out that F.U. stood for Felix Unger!!"
It's a great movie!

And that's exactly what I was looking for when I started this topic - not the famous lines, but the throwaway ones that stuck with you on a personal level.
Perfect. Thanks!

We
all
know
the
famous
ones, even
if
we
never
saw
the
movie...
- "Bond, James
Bond."
- "I've
got
a
feeling
we're
in
Kansas
anymore."
- "I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse."
- "I am serious... and don't call me Shirley"
My question is, what are your FAVORITE quotes - not necessarily
famous, just ones that struck your fancy.
My favorite: Groucho Marx as Rufus T. Firefly in Duck Soup
"Remember, men, you're fighting for this woman's honor - which
is more than she ever did."

Ya it sure does.... riding along with the top down and the wind in your hair.... course mine is pretty short but I like the idea : )
Anyway, ya Cleveland is tough LOL
Diane
My hair is pretty short right now too. Anyway it would be fun.
Getting back to the topic at hand how about:
"You can't handle the truth" from A FEW GOOD MEN
"Nobody puts baby in the corner" from DIRTY DANCING
"E.T. phone home" from E.T.

"Is

the

Blazing

Or
how

I
