Membership renewal higher than new memberships advertised on television

I don’t understand why renewal members prices are higher than new membership prices who are also given a free gift. Doesn’t loyalty count for anything?

It can feel unfair when renewal prices are higher than new membership offers, which often include gifts. Companies use these promotions to attract new customers and offset marketing costs, assuming loyal customers will stay despite higher prices. However, loyalty does matter, and you might get a better deal by contacting customer service and expressing your concerns. Have you tried reaching out to them yet?

@RubyW657955   Thanks, I can clear that up: Renewal prices aren't typically higher than when joining. The special offers will vary, some with and some without a gift, and all are available to existing members too.  Members can choose which term and offer they like to extend their membership at anytime.
