How to get them to listen?

A while back I, the wife, purchased a 5 year membership for AARP. I put it in MY name because my husband absolutely HATES AARP.  He bought a membership over 15 years again and let it expire because, again, he HATES it!

when I purchased MY membership, I used MY own money and bought it in MY name.  However, even though I bought it in MY name and my husband's membership expired years ago they still send their mail to us in my husband's name.  This has caused so many fights and really upsets my husband.  So much so that I actually called AARP and literally begged them to STOP using my husband's name for MY membership mail.  I actually told the person I spoke to that he HATES AARP and how it causes me issues because I love them.  The lady assured me that she would fix the name on their mailing, BUT they haven't!  And this past month we've gotten several pieces of mail from AARP with my HUSBAND'S name on them that have caused me problems. I know it sounds petty, BUT I cannot change my husband and I'm so tired of the fights.

Will someone PLEASE tell me how to get AARP to listen to me?  If I bought the membership in MY name why can't they just PLEASE send correspondence in MY name? I don't think that's asking a lot considering that I bought it in MY name and It is NOT hard to do!

This is so frustrating!  I want to keep being a member, but they are making it so difficult!  I've still got several more years left on my membership.  If they would just change one first name, which IS the name I bought the account with they would save me so much grief.  Can someone please tell me how to get through to them?

Thank you so much Christy C.  I don't know how to send you a private message.  Is typing in here private?  I'm sorry but I'm not as social media and computer savvy as most people.  Can you please tell how to send you one and what information you need to make this account and remove my husband's name from your mailing list?

I really appreciate your help and kindness in this matter,

Gidget
