Dear AARP stop sending mail

How can we , or maybe it's just me, stop AARP from wasting money on sending so much crap in the mail. I renewed for 5 years, still have 2 left and am now getting renewal stuff in the mail again. M A K E I T S T O P.

At least have an option to not get stuff in the mail.

rkoajo We can stop specific types of mail like renewal notices and publications such as AARP The Magazine or AARP Bulletin, or stop all mail, so you can go paperless. Please send us a private message and include your full name and mailing address as it appears on your membership account, and we'll get to work. If you haven't yet enabled private messaging, you can find the instructions here - https://aarp.info/47hWcl7 - Christy C.

@rkoajo , for YEARS, members have complained about this and get the "canned" response that WE CAN "eliminate" this irritation. Nope!!! So sad AARP is spending TOO MUCH on junk mail & membership renewals EVERY WEEK. Never fails, something from AARP is in the famous JUNK MAIL PACKAGE. Come on AARP. Listen to members & use all that postage, paper expense and advertising dollars to IMPROVE this site/Awards Program. Take care, Nicole  👵

We're sorry for the unwanted mail that you are receiving, @SpringIsHereVA. We are able to stop the mail for you, but we do have another option as well. You can enroll in the Digital Value Membership. All materials would be available on the http://AARP.org?cmp=SNO-LITHIUM---&socialid=16771089645 website, and you would receive email updates regarding your membership. If you would like to make the switch today, please send us a private message, so that we can gather some details to locate your account. ~Corinna D.

@AARPConsumerCare , the unwanted mail I want stopped are the pieces of junk mail from AARP. For years now AARP is wasting postage and paper sending out mail asking folks to join who have already done this. With the economy in 2025, they seriously need to "cut back" on this waste. And stop increasing membership dues. Just my 1/2 cent on this discussion. Take care, Nicole 👵
