Re: United Health care supplement question

She should be granted guaranteed issue rights since she's still in her Medicare Open Enrollment Period. As long as she enrolls in a Medigap plan during her OEP, your wife shouldn't have to go through medical underwriting. If I'm correct, she won't have a waiting period before her coverage kicks in.

United Health care supplement question

Message 2 of 2

My wife is turning 65 in November 2017. She is currently on Medicaid for 4 years now. She has Medicare Plan Plan A and Plan B. She has applied and been accepted under United Healthcare Supplement Ins. My wife has colon cancer and completed CHEMO in May this year. My question is will there be a waiting period (3 mos) on anything that may be related to the colon cancer? Thanks.
