Ripping off seniors in drug pricing in plan d

I have Medicare plan d and use WellCare and cvs Caremark mail order pharmacy. 
I have diabetes and take ozempic pen once a week. The price I paid for 82 days supply for 3,ml was $2200. Some is paid by Medicare and copay by me. I wanted to reduce the dose to half and wanted to get 1.5 ml for 82 day supply. I was told the cost of half the drug is $4500 instead of $2200 for 3 ml.
