Re: Medicare and therapy services

The way I am interpreting the 2-Year Budget law that was passed and signed by the President last week, would permanently repeal current limits on outpatient rehab services, such as physical and occupational therapy.

This has been going on forever with Congress having to pass a work-a-round as an extender each year.  So now, problem solved - use it wisely, seniors and now the AARP can go on to something else.

Medicare and therapy services

As of January 1, Medicare stopped covering all the important therapy services people need after a stroke, injury, or other diagnosis. Judy Markoe explains in this video https://www.aarp.org/politics-society/advocacy/info-2018/medicare-physical-therapy-caps-fd.html , why this approach is penny-wise but pound-foolish, and urges viewers to call Congress today.
