Medicare & Medicaid

Keep reading that one cannot have Medcaid if you're on Medicare. Also read that the two can be combined, depending on income. Doesn't make sense ! So much crap out there, it's confusing

Medicare has several programs for which you may qualify as a low income senior or disabled beneficiary which provide "Extra Help"

This Medicare page outlines each one.

Medicare - Get help paying costs

Bu clicking on each one, it will take you to another page that goes more in detail of what they are - you will have to apply for eligibility.  Definitely check out the "Medicare Savings Programs", there are (4) different types .
