Hartford Auto Rate Increase of 46%

We just received our auto insurance renewal which increased 46%; after we contacted The Hartford and spoke to an agent as the original increase was 80%, ridiculous. She reviewed our account and "got it down" to 46%, which is still BS. Like many others we have never had a claim for either home or auto and perfect driving records; so WHY!!! That she couldn't answer - WHO CAN.

???? - Is AARP aware of these ridiculous increases that seem to be happening to many of their AARP members. We've been with The Hartford insurance for many years; but not for much longer.

Hopefully AARP will investigate and get some positive results.
