Medicclif,

Are you being sarcastic re Limbo and Handful?

It's an IQ test if you think the bill isn't being stuffed full of pay offs and give aways to the Pub's donor class, and 'reparations' from Blue States and liberal groups.  What about how charitable contributions are going to fare if the exclusion is doubled so millions more don't itemize?

You are correct. Seems like a ot of people are listening to fake news and aarp and not getting full story. Wise people listen to both sides to see where the truth is.  Listen to rush limbo, Shawn Hannety to get other ideas of what is happening.

How can any of us make an informed post about this?  Congress does not know what is in the bill and they have copies of it.  We are operating in the dark.

Seems much too reasonable. The Pubs now have all the power (in a sense, some/most of the time).

Since the Supreme Court said Money was Speech, the Pubs are taking the money away from ALL groups that oppose them - including the "elderly" and us upcoming "elderly" as they/we tend to vote Democrat.  No Medicare, No Social Security - no money for Democrat campaign contributions.  Elimination the fed tax deductibility of SALT which pounds the Blue States.  Note that, Already, the Northeast Blue states (+ ) already pay more money in federal taxes than they get back while, what a surprise, the southern Red states get much more back from the federal government than they pay in federal tax dollars. Look It Up.

It's also quite a coincidence that a lot of policies pushed by many Pubs favor them financially.  Like dipping sh*t in chocolate.

We have got to get Trump out of office. He is going to bankrupt America and the American people. People who have worked and paid into SS all their lives and are no longer able to work should rise up and get these idiots out of Washington DC.

That is exactly right making a higher deductible would prevent some seniors from going to the doctor if they couldn't afford it. Let's keep them separate.

Combining the deductibles for Medicare Parts A and B is a total fraudulent ripoff of Medicare recipients. This policy would charge for services not received - legalized fraud!  Example, I am 70. After over 5 years on Medicare, I was in a hospital emergency room for a total of just under 5 hours May 31, 2017, with a fracture. Charging for a hospital deductible without the use of hospital services for my other 4 years on Medicare would be theft! Paul Ryan needs to learn about utilization review which enforces appropriate use of medical and surgical services. Combined deductibles would prevent financially challenged seniors from receiving medically indicated hospital and physician care. The ramifications are obvious.
