At Home Recovery benefit

Plan I, a legacy Medicare supplemental insurance plan, has a benefit called At Home Recovery. Although Plan I has not been sold in a while, maybe some of you are still covered under Plan I and can comment on this benefit. It would help in a situation where a person is covered long-term under a Medicare-approved home health care plan, but we'd really like to hear about actual experience with this benefit.

Here's what the plan document says about it:

At-home recovery care

Your plan will pay actual charges for visits not paid by Medicare. There is a maximum of $40 per visit, a maximum of 7 visits per calendar week, and a maximum of $1,600 each calendar year. Visits must be received while you are receiving Medicare-approved home care services or no more than 8 weeks after the last Medicare-approved visit. The visits cannot be paid for by Medicare or any other government program. See your Certificate for all criteria for coverage.
