I'm turning 65 in a few weeks. I'm currently employed at a company with less than 20 employees and do not anticipate retiring anytime soon. Right now, my employer pays 100% of healthcare premiums for my two children and me. Because of my and my wife's combined salary, I expect the Medicare premium to be much greater than the $170 a month minimum.
Obviously, having Medicare coverage is not going to benefit me very much since my current coverage is fine. Is there anything I can do to avoid or minimize the Medicare premiums I'm going to be required to pay?
