I have been on the same meds for about 20 years. Today at my regular checkup, the nurse told me “your insurance is requesting a urinalysis “. My doctor does very thorough bloodwork twice a year and did not order a urinalysis. Since when can an insurance company request lab work?????
I'd like to know the answer to that question. My doctor tells me that UHC Advantage requires that I have an annual Wellness Exam, return for a Wellness Exam follow up, that I answer the Wellness Exam questions in full, some of which I'm not comfortable answering. UHC tells me my doctor needs to have my complete information in order to properly assess my health. As far as I know, I'm still healthy mentally and physically. Is this a regular issue with UHC Advantage recipients or just a bad one-off situation?
