Understanding the past as a prologue for what to expect NOW

James Jordon just published a longitindual study of his own long life from early childhood through marriage and divorce before meeting another octogenarian whose different social trajectory helps explain why these two were such a rewarding paternership.

This is solid social science research based on over five years of email exchanges between these two companions, members of a LAT (Living Apart Together) couple.

With the assistance of a life-long friend, James had this book self-published before he left us for good.

A major publisher is likely to pick up this book, a major advance over the existing literature, including the Harvard Grant Study, Barusch, and the many other studies that Jordan references.

The book is available from Amazon:

Joy, Love, And Loss In Late Life: An Epistolary History of How Early Life Experiences, Long Marriages, and Divorces Shaped a Late-in-Life Relationship Paperback  by James Jordan
