Day 4 at the Open: Commitment. Is that a dirty practice? Today's volunteer roster shows 47 names. Only 27 showed up. Same story since the beginning of the event. We ordered shirts, caps, badges for everyone. Our inventory is only half used. Although we expected some no-shows, but 50% of the work force is a tough figure to fulfill all the manpower needs at a huge international event like this.

Jen:  You got me down to 2 numbers.  Guess it just wasn't meant to be.  Please sign me up for game 563.  It is very cold here in Upstate NY.  I'm going to add another layer of clothes on & head to the kitchen for some homemade split pea soup.
