There is no poem to be found. I looked hard. With the obvious symbolism I thought it had a chance.
Boat = Their relationship
Cabin sanctum = bedroom where they could usually work things out but now flooded
Storm = Their arguments/fights
Their words cut so deep they spit tears (salt) and blood.
He was most hurt when she laughed at him = You shocked me when you grinned
At the end she was untouched by emotion = How can you not be wet?
And so on...
Maybe someone with talent can find the poem but I'm stumped.

Had a few obstacles to get around but I'm back.
I would be more than happy to read your poems, Judith. And anyone else's. Other writings you guys are proud of, lead me to them.
Now back to work.

Untitled.
After third edit
There might be a poem in there. Just need to find it.
Try again tomorrow
Our boat was churned to flotsam
While we were sound asleep
The cabin was our sanctum
The cabin's now knee-deep
Cruel currents throw a tantrum
Limbs tangled in a heap
Whirlpools like flowers blossom
Among walls of water steep
Whitecaps now strum rhythm
Great swells are sounding deep
Moonbeams through a prism
I've never seen you weep
The sea is now the whirlwind
Rogue waves are now the threats
White water has me pinned
While squalls play castanets
You shocked me when you grinned
Your tongue's a bayonet
You're so undisciplined
How can you not be wet?
The boat we built together
We drowned before its time
We thought we'd sail forever
We're cold and stiff as rime.

Okay, I'm going to go with this. I'll leave it for ten days or so and look with fresh eyes.
Fourth Edit
Our boat was churned to flotsam;
We were sound asleep.
The cabin was our sanctum;
The cabin's now knee-deep.
Currents threw a tantrum
Poseidon pitched a fit
Whirlpool flowers blossomed
Then blood and salt we spit.
Whitecaps strumming rhythm
Swells now sounding deep
Moonbeams through a prism
I've never seen you weep.
You shocked me when you grinned --
Your tongue's a bayonet.
You're so undisciplined,
How can you not be wet?
We foundered in the crosswinds
As squalls played castanets.
The boat we built together
We drowned before its time.
We thought we'd sail forever;
We're cold and stiff as rime.

Beautiful Woman In Colors
There is a beautiful woman in my life
who brings joy to my days.
Every day
I grow more in love with her.
She is Sunshine
in my juniper forest,
and joy resplendent for my soul.
She has moved into my heart
where she holds court in seafoam
with the mystical water nymphs
of my virescent island;
inhabiting my consciousness
with the smell of mint;
inhabiting my basil dreams.
She is love
and emerald hope,
and I can't separate my being from hers.
There is a beautiful woman
in my life
who colors my world
in hues of red and blue.
In the early morning hours
I can hear her voice
prepossessed in periwinkle.
She has moved into my heart,
and she beckons me
with her lyrics of lilac.
In the afternoon sun
she comes to me
in her amaranthine raiment
weaving eastern tales
of violet stars and crescent moons.
As the sun sets
and the evening sheds her glow,
she lifts her perse veil
drawing me into her eyes;
lost in her countenance
she colors me in hues of red and blue,
and I can't separate my being from hers.
There is a beautiful woman
in my life
who is the autumn answer to my prayers.
She is a golden dream
once lost
in October's long ago.
I held her like dandelions
in my mind;
now I hold her in my heart.
Wrapped in daffodils,
I carry her
everywhere I go.
I can hear her
steadily beating
in my sunflower chest.
She speaks to me in mellifluous song.
She warms me
with her Sunshine,
and has enjoined
my honey soul;
intimately wound,
and I can't separate my being from hers.

KATIE

Long ago I held you close,
And hated to let you go.
Then, as you grew I held your hand…
And hoped that you would know.
As my shoes became your own I smiled as you played.
M jewels would drape ypur little neck
Dangling as you parade.
The glasses that my mother wore,
Upon your nose I’d find
A little big, but oh, so sweet,
My Mom would be sure glad.
The lock of hair, so long and brown, was as much fun for you, as me.
I was so pleased to share it all
And we did it all with glee.
You played “dress up” and we did dance
And my pride it had no bounds,
And when you came to Grandma’s house
My world loved you around.
The Xmas cookies you learned to make, the spritz—which filled the cans,
Were special treats, as were the eggs,
Dipped with your careful hands.
What fun we had
What times we shared
Along with some sad tears,
And crackers and jam…and malted milks,
Will remind me of our years.
It is so silly…this Grandma says,
To cry on your going away,
But I’m so blessed…will always have,
The memories that we made.
From a little girl to a young woman grown,
The years have melted away,
So, enjoy your journey, Katie Dear,
Just make it worth the trip…
Remembering, I held you close and hated to let you go.

I'm glad to see that "poetry" has been added to the name of this forum. I've not been writing much lately but the urge has returned and I hope to be posting more frequently. Thanks for all the nice poems, Judith. You have inspired me.
