Sourdough bread help

Anyone made a sourdough starter and baked bread. It sounds a bit complicated.

My Dear old departed Grandmother used to make sourdough bread, and I would watch her go through all that rigamarole and after eating the bread, would wonder why in the world she thought it was all worth it?? I dunno, maybe it was just something that didn't appeal to a kid's taste-eh? Oh, Joke of the day ---know why lobsters won't share anything with each-other/ "Cause they're SHELLFISH !
