AWAKING THOUGHTS

9/11/2020

Since I no longer am me…the young girl I use to know,

it’s not been easy since bodies age and hair turns quickly gray,

But still within the deepest me,

I remember who I use to be...and sigh,

Knowing full-well, some things had to go…

That someday, I, too  will not always “be."

             So live your life

Let go of the bad and... live to remember

            all the good you had.

 HOW DO YOU KNOW

11/20/20

How do you know when it’s Gods’ hand that touches you

In the dark of the night

Or the cool of the morning?

Could it be you are dreaming and looking for his hand…

to lift you up and guide you to a better land?

Could it only be that easy

To die on angel’s wings…

and forget the pain and suffering

and know you’ll be well again.

How do you know?

HOME

12/18/20

Our back  yard is a “picture”

As far as eyes can see…and winter hasn’t diminished

The beauty of what summer use to be.

The snow has not quite covered all our stately, barren trees…

while squirrels and rabbits continue their daily, rapid spree.

My eyes are grateful as I thank the Lord

For all he has given me.

The beauty of the picture seen,

  through many window panes…

True peace beyond all measure,

Nothing to compare.

So much we have

 So much to lose…

Joys a hundred fold

and, thank you, Lord, for all of this…
I know it coms from you.
