I would consider living, atleast temporarily, in a "small" tiny home community, or a single tiny home on a comfortable plot of land.
I think this affordable housing option is being exploited similar to some of the other "affordable housing" options. Intended for the $20k income household with few options, not the $100k household seeking adventure and savings.

How do they sum up against what you are looking for?
Price? One story and overall size? Wheels or foundation?
Are you considering building one on your own land?
If in a specific type of tiny home community - who does things like keep up the grounds? Are there HOA type fees associated with these types of communities in FL?
Guess it isnโt much different than finding other homes - same type considerations.

(1) I GOT A JOB AS A CONSULTANT HERE IN MELBOURNE, FLORIDA AND WORKING WITH A TEAM OF INVESTORS - SINGLE STOREY, NO LOFTS TO HELP PREVENT MORE AGE 50+ FROM BECOMING HOMELESS.
Price?
(2) THEY WILL BE PRICED REASONABLY.
One story and overall size?
(3) SMALLEST SIZE.
Wheels or foundation?
(4) I STATED ON A FOUNDATION IN MY POST ON THIS THREAD.
Are you considering building one on your own land?
(5) SEE 1ST ANSWER ABOVE.
If in a specific type of tiny home community - who does things like keep up the grounds?
(6) WE HAVE NO IDEA AS YET.
Are there HOA type fees associated with these types of communities in FL?
(7) THESE WILL NOT.
Guess it isnโt much different than finding other homes - same type considerations.
(8) TO A CERTAIN EXTENT = MY OPINION

hi Nicole
....same....small SINGLE-STOREY HOME on a foundation-NO wheels/// NO composting toilet๐๐....must have plumbing.๐ธ
llllllllllllllllllllll
While you can buy a prefabricated dwelling or a customized small house on wheels.... the average cost spent on a tiny home is about $45,000, but bare-bones kits for DIYers are available for as little as $4,000 to $10,000, but can easily exceed $100,000....fluctuations in the cost of building materials can cause costs to vary widely from year to yearโand from location to location////
I found alternatives like Dome-Shaped Concrete Homes called Binishells.constructed using concrete poured over a heavy-duty air pump bladder and steel rebar framework. Next, the bladder is deflated to reveal a tiny, resilient home that can stand up to extreme conditions such as earthquakes, high winds////
or a Monolithic Dome Concrete Homes ...has a number of unique benefits: construction affordability, disaster protection, energy savings, longevity, just to name a few.

(3 comments) Allen @Therapist4u there are SEVERAL Tiny Home Builders here in Florida and I am WAITING to see what NEXT year brings.
They are too POPULAR right now, yet the MEDIA keeps saying they are the ANSWER to "affordable" housing??? ๐ค
A lot of Florida cities are pushing the CONTAINER version.
Folks need to keep in mind they don't last as long as some well-built houses do.
Lol, I am 65 this September. Figure I MAY make it to 100 - so give 35 years in a NEW ONE ๐๐ฅณ

(1 comment) The "challenge" for me Allen @Therapist4u , will be the LAND!
My "only" child owns a townhouse house with NO space to add it.
So that means "buying" land or paying a "lot" fee.
