I am a 75 year old retired widower with a moderate handicap. I have been looking in many forums for housing options but they are addressed primarily to women. I realize that men can fall under these concerns addressed by women, but there is very little written about men alone. I live in Florida in a modest apartment by the beach and my rent goes up every year. I am on a fixed income, Social Security, and I try to keep my living expenses about 30% of my income. I will go over that this year and I am trying to figure out options on what to do, where to go, and what kind of housing should I consider. Also looking into assistance programs. Most articles are about how women are adapting but very little is written by men or about men. Am I missing these articles in this publication and others that I have read?
