Tony Handler: Every Day is an Inspiration

How's your fitness program going? Are you struggling with self doubt? Suffering from a life-threatening disease or maybe just lackawanna? Take a few minutes to read about Tony Handler and see if his story does not inspire you to reach for more today. A better tomorrow starts here!

“Survivor” doesn’t seem to be a big enough word to convey the example of Tony Handler. Over the last 35 years, he has survived 10 bouts with six different kinds of cancer requiring 20 surgeries. He still receives a monthly chemo shot to keep his live cancer under control.

You’d think just dealing with all those health issues would be enough to keep Tony busy, but he’s done so much more. He has crossed the finish line hundreds of times, in the process becoming one of the world’s top triathletes in the 70-75 age group. At last count, he’s completed more than 280 races and is still averaging nine a year, including grueling half-Ironman races.
