I am retired and walk to stay healthy. I would love to be able to track my steps! If only I had a Fitbit!

I wish I had stayed healthier in my younger days; exercising and eating smaller portions. I'm 65 now I'll be in my first race of the season; "Throo the Zoo."   It's easier in the summer to stay in shape, I LOVE Hiking with my Doberman Pinscher.  I also try to eat healthier, but about once a month I have to have a Butterfinger Blizzard.

 

Anyway I would love to have a FitBit!  I don't even know if I'm doing this right.

I would tell my younger self to stay on top of health changes as you progress in life, so as to feel better and enjoy it more.

Keep exercising through the pain.

Keep an activity record to use as a reference throughout your life,

and, above all, be kind.

Portion sizes are so important and also eating whole healthy food and cooking your own food, not just take out or processed food.

I never saw the actual topic questions, but by answers I imagine it is what I would tell my younger self.  I would tell my younger self that I wish I had changed my diet lifestyle change a long time ago.  I have lost 20 pounds in 4 months by just eating half plate of veggies or fruit with meals, watching carbs and calories a little, and cutting out junk food.  The biggest change was my portion sizes.  This lifestyle isn't that hard to maintain, and once in a while I let myself eat whatever I want, and I find I still can't eat as much.  I can start to feel when I'm about 3/4 of the way full, and I stop.  I now hate the full feeling.

I would tell my younger self to learn how to manage stress. Take a walk and admire the wildlife. Learn how to do yoga and stretch. Learn how to meditate and calm your mind. For goodness sake, don't let the stress get to the point that you're startled into heart palpitations everytime the doorbell or phone rings ... it's really not good for you Cat Very Happy
