6 Top Natural Vein Treatments

Message 2 of 2

Varicose veins can be extremely annoying and are essentially most commonly found amongst women. It actually makes veins that are already enlarged, look like they are touching the surface of your skin.

Normally, a person may get these veins or see them develop when the body’s veins start to develop poor functioning valves (these are what regulates your body’s blood flow), or weak walls. These veins most commonly appear on the thighs and the calves.

Here are the top home remedies you can try to help treat your varicose veins, these home remedies will also help ease the discomfort they cause:

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is one of the most used treatments for varicose veins.

  • You simply apply some apple cider vinegar, not undiluted, to the area where the varicose veins are located. After you have applied the vinegar, you can gently massage the area. You can do this in morning and at night on a daily basis.
  • Mix a glass of water and 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar together. Although, you have to drink it every day for about a month before you will see any results. Yet, you can continue doing this until the problem is resolved.

Cayenne Pepper

This treatment is rich in bioflavonoids and vitamin C. Thus, it also helps to increase blood circulation.

  • Mix a cup of boiling water and 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper (powder). Make sure to stir it well and consume this on a daily basis at least 3 times a day. Continue doing so for 1-2 months to see results.

Olive Oil

Olive oil is a lot of people’s go-to home remedy as it helps to increase blood circulation. Because it is so good with creating circulation, it helps tremendously with vein inflammation and even the pain.

  • Mix vitamin E oil (50%) with olive oil (50%). Make sure you add the amounts as evenly as you can and warm them just slightly. Massage the area with the mixture for a few minutes and make sure that you do not press too hard. You can do this twice every day for at least 2 months to see results.

  • Use a clean jar, add about 6 sliced up garlic cloves to the jar and mix with juice from 3 oranges. Then add 2 tablespoons of olive oil to the jar as well. Leave the mixture for half a day (12 hours) to just sit. After 12 hours you can shake the jar and use only a little bit of the mixture in the area at a time.

You should massage the area for at least 15 minutes when applying. After doing so, you should wrap the area in a cotton cloth and leave it on for the night. Do this every day for a few months for the best results.

Plus, you can also add fresh garlic to your daily diet.

Butcher’s Broom

Butcher’s broom is extremely great in helping to relieve discomfort and aches caused by varicose veins. Use about 100 mg of this product 3 times a day on a daily basis. You should be able to get it from your drug store or maybe even your supermarket.

This product is made from roots and contains the following:

  • Zinc
  • Silicon
  • Selenium
  • Potassium
  • Manganese
  • Magnesium
  • Chromium
  • Calcium
  • Vitamin B
  • Vitamin C

Witch Hazel

Witch hazel helps to reduce the symptoms and it helps to strengthen the blood vessels.

  • Use a washcloth soaked in witch hazel and then apply it to the area with the varicose veins. You can do this for 2 months long, 2-3 times a day, every day.

You can also add 10 to 20 drops into your bath water, ensure that is lukewarm. Soak the affected area in the bath water for at least 15 minutes and this can also be done on a daily basis. This product can be bought online or maybe you can find a local shop that stocks it.

Home remedies do not always work but are usually worth the try.

Have you tried any of these?

I know apple cider vinegar and cayenne pepper is healthy to drink for a variety of reasons and my veins may be better due to taking these regularly :-)

There are however a variety of medical treatments that one could also look at.
