Sympathy card

I phoned AARP a couple weeks ago regarding renewing my membership.  My husband and I joined AARP in 2005, I believe.  However, my husband passed away in March of 2017, so I called to renew my membership as an individual.  The sweet young lady I spoke with took care of my renewal, and said she would make a note of my husband's death.

Much to my surprise, my husband received a sympathy card addressed to him expressing AARP's condolences for his loss.  The card was not addressed to me, the one who suffered the loss, but to my late husband.

Thank you so much for pouring just a little more salt into that wound.
