Basically the blues are snow...heavy snow white....ice & sleet ...purple pinkish....

& rain....shades of green...the darker = the more intense...yellows to the red is most intense...reds are often associated with thunder storms & the severest weather...such as tornadoes....

Thank you for the info!  Our local stations have the same maps but the color scheme is boring. Lol! Never seen the pink used before! Have a great evening!
