Walk Every Day, No Matter What

As a 77-year-old, a 100% disabled Veteran from combat wounds, and living in a high mountain valley to be able to breathe non-polluted air, I walk my little Chihuahua (named Ozzie) every day for about one mile to keep him and myself fit.  I rely upon a walking cane to keep up with Ozzie.  The weight-bearing leg motion helps immensely.

At my age of 77 I’m noticing my balance is failing and I’ve joined a Strong Bodies class to help regain some strength in addition to starting a walking exercise routine.
