tips for selling my home and vetting realtors

1-24-22

Hi,

This is my first post to the AARP community. I have been clearing out my house for the last few years in preparation for moving. The thought of selling my house is overwhelming but am not happy on the block and alley where i live. There have been too many issues.

Any tips for selling a house, and tips for vetting realtors? I want to meet with multiple realtors and am preparing a checklist of questions for them. I found some articles on AARP and have started to do some other research as well. Any tips from your experience are appreciated.

Thank you,

Della

Replace old plumbing fixtures and worn dirty carpet, paint walls if needed.

Thank you for your input. We do have to replace a toilet or flushometer.

Old carpets were removed, it's mostly wood floors. I had my home repairman do touch ups. Also replaced ragged looking venetian blinds.
