Reminder: Gift Cards are Non-Returnable

I'm very disappointed to learn that a Carnival gift card is non-returnable.  I have recently been diagnosed with a cardiac condition and unable to take an October cruise.  So, apparently, I've lost $500 for getting sick.  That's unreasonable, and I'm indeed disappointed.  I know that is laid out in the terms, but who reads the terms and conditions?  I've been an AARP member for 23 years.  Unhappy.

I am very sorry you will not be able to use your Carnival gift card, mdelgado.  Carnival gift cards are non-refundable per terms and conditions agreed to at time of purchase.  These are the merchant terms, we cannot intervene if the gift card can not be used. You will need to work directly with the merchant. - Melissa F.

Thank you for your response.  I just had not realized that when purchased.  Can you confirm for me?  I was told by a representative that I could give the gift card to someone else because I cannot use it.  Is that true?

Yes, mdelgado, you are able to give the gift card to someone else to enjoy!  - Melissa F.
