AARP Eye Center
This past month I was asked to renew my membership early in an email from AARP. I did so. The cost was $43. I also was asked for a contribution, so I donated $20 as well. By the time the charges were posted on my credit card, I had forgotten about the extra $20 contribution so I was not understanding why I was being billed $63 for my $43 membership.
Looking at my account online only showed the $43 amount. I went to the online chat and asked the agent about finding my transaction history for payments and contributions. I was stunned to find out that there is no place online to access transaction history for my account and that info can only be obtained by speaking to an agent.
In my mind, this is unacceptable in this day and age. AARP members should be able to access their transaction history with AARP easily, just as one can access their banking transactions when searching those accounts online. Comments?
